FS Club Member Bridgeworks Wins Several Key Industry Awards
Financial Services Club Member, Bridgeworks, has won six IT industry awards for its innovative WAN Acceleration solutions, such as PORTrockIT. David Trossell, Bridgeworks’ CEO and CTO, says he is delighted to receive these accolades – some of which came as a pleasant surprise to him:
“It’s great to be recognised by so many of our colleagues and by clients, such as private bank Investec, for our innovative technologies, which mitigate the effects of latency and packet loss, while improving the capability of organisations’ existing infrastructure. These help to maximise their Wide Area Network (WAN) bandwidth and performance, which has been in ways that can’t be achieved alone with SD-WANs or with WAN Optimisation.”
Investec Private Bank
With the help of Bridgeworks, for example, Investec Bank was able to synchronise its globally dispersed databases to achieve GDPR compliance. The bank was used as a key case study in the awards because it demonstrates what can be achieved with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
Bridgeworks’ PORTrockIT can help organisations to boost their existing environment – rapidly moving their data across WANs regardless of distance, size, or type of data. With WAN Acceleration, the company can deliver 98% of your organisation’s achievable bandwidth. This delivers significant performance improvements and dramatic results, as the patented AI technology optimises and self-configures to produce acceleration speeds not seen before.
Bridgeworks won SME NEWS Magazine’s Southern Enterprise Awards categories for Innovation in Software Defined Protocol Acceleration 2020, and the Best in Cloud Acceleration Solutions 2020. In the UK IT Awards, supported by the British Computer Society, the company won the Infrastructure Innovation of the Year award.
The other wins include: the 2021 Global Business Awards Best For Software-Defined Protocol Acceleration, and the DCS Awards Data Centre ICT Networking Product of the Year. Bridgeworks has achieved further recognition this year as a finalist in the SDC Awards category Backup/Archive Innovation of the Year for 2020, and as a finalist in the Computing Technology Product Awards Infrastructure Product of the Year and Corp Today Magazine’s Best for Software Defined Protocol Acceleration.
Innovation and STEM
Trossell comments that this recognition is inspiring his team to continue to innovate. Despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bridgeworks is feeling optimistic about 2021. Close to Trossell’s heart – and an ongoing commitment – is working with STEM students in schools, colleges, and universities to develop the IT talent of the future, which he hopes will shape the financial services sector of the future, while enabling his company to continue to achieve great results.
