BakBone Software and Bridgeworks collaborate to provide affordable Fibre Channel connectivity

BakBone Software™ (TSX: BKB, OTCBB: BKBOF), a global provider of data recovery software, today announced that it has successfully completed integration and testing activities between BakBone's NetVault 7.0 data backup and recovery software and Bridgeworks' new Tamar family of Fibre Channel bridges. The partnership builds on both companies' commitment to open storage architectures and heightened compatibility by collaborating on the development of affordable Fibre Channel connectivity solutions.
Today's enterprise IT organizations require 2-Gigabit performance and need to quickly and seamlessly convert their data storage peripherals from SCSI to Fibre Channel. Installing a bridge device allows users to leverage their existing storage infrastructure through a FC-SCSI connection and gain all the benefits of Fibre Channel without the major investment of a new tape library.
